Discuss what exceptional customer service looks like and how you can build this skill set.

  • Have students discuss how having a positive attitude and good manners is an important part of customer service

  • Have students share examples of good and poor customer service and how it impacts the customer, your employer and you

  • Discuss “going the extra mile” and how that can open doors with your current employer as well as open doors for employment with other employers

  • Create a monthly budget with imaginary wages and basic expenses
